Mental Clarity Tips

You can wake up feeling inspired, with a crystal-clear mind, and sustain that throughout the day! The following are the basic keys to achieving this. In this way, you can vanquish brain fog, forgetfulness and learning difficulties such as ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), while greatly enhancing memory, mental and physical performance, blood sugar regulation, mental-emotional poise, creative artistic expression and cheerfulness.

More than ten years ago, practicing these keys, I was able to rid myself of writer's block and rejuvenate my mental faculties, which were greatly dulled from malnutrition and a long illness accompanied by severe toxemia. When the body is fit , well-rested and well-nourished, and the stomach, bowels, tissues and bloodstream are clean, your true brilliance shines forth!

  • Get enough sleep so that you wake up refreshed, alert and inspired and able to maintain a good level of energy throughout the day; avoid waking up by alarm.
  • Take the time to become present and poised after waking up.
  • Breathe fully.
  • Bathe, brush your teeth and tongue and floss every day.
  • Keep your sinuses clean, if necessary, use a neti pot or sniff non-chlorinated water in the shower.
  • Maintain present-mindedness and poise throughout the day.
  • Take refreshing naps as needed.
  • Drink some water before breakfast, distilled is best.
  • Drink purified water and/or juices and eat juicy fruits to keep well-hydrated.
  • Maintain fitness and flexibility by exercising and stretching regularly.
  • Exercise before each meal; otherwise, eat lightly.
  • Eat only when you are truly hungry; earn your calories via exercise.
  • Eat a fresh, vegan, fruit-based, high water content, low-fat (10-15% of total calories), properly combined, organically-grown whole raw foods diet .
  • Obtain enough calories from fruit to keep your mental and physical energies strong throughout the day ‹sugar is your cells' and brain's only fuel.
  • Avoid dietary irritants (spices, salt, onions, bitter herbs, chile peppers, garlic, coffee, etc.).
  • Avoid stimulating/narcotizing/enervating/concentrated/toxic foods, herbs, beverages, supplements, drugs and therapies.
  • Obtain organic food which is grown in remineralized soil.
  • Minimize the number of foods eaten per meal to 3 or less.
  • Avoid overeating; eat within your digestive capabilities.
  • Avoid eating when you are tired, drowsy or emotionally upset.
  • Space out meal increments to allow for complete digestion, assimilation and rest; avoid nibbling between meals.
  • Avoid cooked fatty and starchy foods.
  • Avoid or minimize cooked and processed foods.
  • Avoid chemically-grown and chemically-processed foods.
  • Generally avoid eating after 7:00 p.m.
  • Take water fasts as needed to promote internal cleanliness and vibrant physical and mental energy.
  • Expose your skin to sunshine every day.
  • Avoid temperature extremes.
  • Avoid stressful situations.
  • Feed your mind with positive, affirming thoughts.
  • Avoid getting caught up in negative thoughts, anxieties, mind chatter and emotions; learn to relax.
  • Avoid enervating stress and exhaustive activities.
  • Avoid rushing to get things done.
  • Avoid that which is distasteful to you; resolve internal conflicts.
  • Avoid air pollution from auto and factory exhaust, heaters, air conditioners, mold, dust, pet dander, excessive pollen, chemicalized/synthetic/odoriferous cleansers, soaps, toiletries, rugs, plywood, particle board, plastic, paint, strong perfumes (of any kind), incense and cooked foods.
  • Avoid electrical energy fields and other radiation pollution.
  • Have amalgam dental fillings removed and replaced with a more bio-compatible material.
  • Create a healthful lifestyle full of enjoyable activities.
